Casey O'Donnell is the founding member of O'Donnell Law LLC, a law office that takes a collaborative and holistic approach to property development. Casey brings nearly 20 years’ experience in land use to the firm and is passionate about working with his clients to execute their vision.

 

Casey represents clients in state courts in matters involving land use, real property, landlord/tenant and commercial issues, as well as estate administration and conservatorship matters in probate court. Casey appears before municipal boards and commissions throughout southeastern Connecticut on a wide range of applications, including subdivisions, site plans, special permits, variances, zoning map and zoning text amendments, and inland wetland and watercourse matters. He represents commercial and residential developers, real estate management concerns, municipalities and municipal boards. He also represents individuals in residential real estate transactions, develops zoning analyses for client acquisitions and developments, and assists in wills, trusts, and estate planning. Casey is admitted in Connecticut, New York, and New Jersey and has been recognized for his Pro Bono service to the Greenwich Probate Court and his exceptional service and dedication to the Land Use Law Center at the Pace University School of Law.  

Casey’s professional experience enables him to bring a unique approach to his practice, combining both a quantitative analytical approach honed during his work as an engineer, and the qualitative analysis skills from his legal education and experience. Casey's  experience with development spans across many disciplines, working with municipalities, developers, appraisers, construction firms, and land banks to acquire, develop, and preserve real property. Casey's unique land use background combined with a dedication to diligence, courtesy, and loyalty, transfers to tangible results for O'Donnell Law clients.

 

Prior to earning his J.D. from Pace University School of Law, Casey served as a municipal zoning official in the Town of Greenwich, Connecticut. While with the town, Casey worked closely with the Planning and Zoning Board of Appeals, Planning and Zoning Commission, and staff to help shape the community through the interpretation, enforcement, and implementation of zoning regulations.
